Blood Panels
25 tests commonly included in longevity/executive-health blood panels. Grades reflect evidence for use in an asymptomatic, average-risk adult — see the methodology for the rubric. Costs are indicative SGD ranges for standalone private-sector testing in Singapore, 2026, and will vary by provider and bundling.
-
Strong Standard Lipid Panel (Total Cholesterol, LDL-C, HDL-C, Triglycerides)The oldest test on this page and still the one that earns its place most easily. S$20–40 Subsidised for eligible Singaporeans 40+ under Healthier SG Screening (S$0–5 per visit incl. consult).
-
Strong Apolipoprotein B (ApoB)One apolipoprotein B molecule sits on every atherogenic lipoprotein particle — LDL, VLDL, IDL and Lp(a) alike &mdash… S$40–70 (add-on to lipid panel)Price guide →
-
Moderate Lipoprotein(a) — Lp(a)An LDL-like particle carrying an additional apolipoprotein(a) component. S$50–100 (standalone draw S$50–55; more within a bundled specialist package) — full price comparisonPrice guide →
-
Strong HbA1cGlycated haemoglobin reflects average blood glucose across roughly the preceding two to three months… S$15–25. Diabetes screening is subsidised for eligible Singaporeans 40+ under Healthier SG Screening, which uses a fasting glucose test (S$0–5 per visit incl. consult).
-
Weak Fasting Insulin / HOMA-IRFasting insulin and glucose combined into a single index — fasting insulin × fasting glucose ÷ 22.5 — as an estimate of insulin resistance. S$40–60
-
Moderate hs-CRP (high-sensitivity C-reactive protein)A marker of low-grade systemic inflammation, and one of the more honestly contested numbers in preventive cardiology. S$35–40 (standalone draw; more within a bundled specialist package) — full cost breakdownPrice guide →
-
Weak Vitamin D (25-OH-D)Serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D is the standard measure of vitamin D status, and its role in calcium and bone metabolism is not in dispute. S$120–135 (standalone test, 3 providers, 2026); bundled deficiency panels run S$161–264Price guide →
-
Moderate FerritinFerritin is the body’s iron storage protein and, inconveniently, an acute-phase reactant that rises with inflammation regardless of iron status. S$30–52 depending on standalone vs. bundled iron-studies panel — full cost breakdownPrice guide →
-
Moderate Testosterone (total, men)Serum total testosterone, ideally drawn fasting in the morning and confirmed on a second sample if the first comes back low. S$30.60–38.15 (total); S$125–147.15 for combined/free testosterone panelsPrice guide →
-
Moderate Thyroid Function (TSH, fT4)TSH does the primary screening, with free T4 added once TSH returns abnormal. S$30–45 (TSH or TSH+FT4); S$95–110+ for antibody-inclusive panels — full cost breakdownPrice guide →
-
Strong Kidney Function Panel (Creatinine/eGFR, Urea, Electrolytes)Creatinine — used to estimate glomerular filtration rate — together with urea, sodium and potassium. S$15–25. Not part of Healthier SG Screening, which subsidises glucose, lipid, blood pressure and BMI checks only.
-
Moderate Liver Function Panel (ALT, AST, ALP, GGT, Bilirubin)Liver enzymes and bilirubin, screening for hepatocellular injury through ALT and AST and for cholestasis through ALP, GGT and bilirubin. S$20–35. Not part of Healthier SG Screening, which subsidises glucose, lipid, blood pressure and BMI checks only.
-
Moderate Vitamin B12 / FolateBoth are required for DNA synthesis and neurological function, and deficiency in either produces macrocytic anaemia and, if it runs long enough… S$30–50 combined
-
Weak Uric AcidSerum urate, the end product of purine metabolism, and an unusually clean example of a test that is definitive for one condition and speculative for everything else. S$15–25. Not part of Healthier SG Screening, which subsidises glucose, lipid, blood pressure and BMI checks only.
-
Moderate Omega-3 IndexThe EPA and DHA content of red blood cell membranes, expressed as a percentage of total fatty acids. S$90–140 (specialised assay; fewer local labs offer it)
-
Weak HomocysteineA sulfur amino acid intermediate in methionine metabolism, raised by B12, folate or B6 deficiency and by polymorphisms such as MTHFR. S$40–60
-
Weak GGT (Gamma-Glutamyl Transferase)A liver and biliary enzyme that already sits inside most standard liver panels, sensitive to alcohol intake and hepatic oxidative stress. Usually included in liver panels (~S$10–15 standalone)
-
Strong Complete Blood Count (CBC/FBC)Red cells, white cells, platelets and their subtypes and indices — the most frequently ordered blood test in medicine… S$10–20. Not part of Healthier SG Screening, which subsidises glucose, lipid, blood pressure and BMI checks only.
-
Strong Urine Albumin-to-Creatinine Ratio (uACR)A urine test, not a blood test, and the one most often missing from a premium panel that already contains forty blood markers. S$15–30
-
Moderate Cystatin CA second way of estimating kidney filtration, using a protein whose blood level does not depend on how much muscle you carry. S$40–70
-
Weak Older Inflammatory Markers (ESR, Fibrinogen, Lp-PLA2)Three inflammation-adjacent markers that appear on expanded cardiac panels, almost always alongside hs-CRP. S$30–90 depending on how many are bundled
-
Weak Food “Intolerance” IgG PanelsA large panel — typically 100 to 200 foods — reporting IgG antibodies against each one, sold as a way to find the foods behind bloating, fatigue or brain fog. S$300–800
-
Strong Hepatitis B Screening (HBsAg)A test whose risk calculus is genuinely different in Singapore from the countries most longevity content is written for. S$20–45 (HBsAg alone; a full hepatitis panel costs more)
-
Strong HIV ScreeningRoutinely bundled into executive screening packages, and one of the very few items in that bundle carrying an unambiguous population-level recommendation. S$25–60
-
Moderate Helicobacter pylori TestingA bacterium that colonises the stomach lining, causes most peptic ulcers, and is classified as a Group 1 carcinogen for gastric cancer. S$30–60 (IgG serology); S$120–200 (urea breath test)
